About Dream

In the atmospheric thriller film Dream, journalist Shen Leshui returns to a declining industrial town after a shocking series of new murders strikes the area. The terrifying crimes directly mirror an unresolved cold case from 1999 involving worker Liu Xuemei. Years earlier, Shen Leshui documented factory life at the old Songjiang Brewery, capturing valuable unreleased footage. Armed with these video recordings, she revisits the town to re-examine the past. As Shen Leshui investigates the unsettling connection between the old case and the new killings, her unreleased footage becomes the key to unlocking the mystery. Navigating danger at every turn, she slowly uncovers a treacherous web of greed, deep-rooted corruption, and dark secrets buried deep within the community. Dream delivers a compelling plot centered on justice, memory, and the dark reality behind a struggling town.
